Kamala Janakiram
In Memory

Kamala Janakiram passionately believed in righting the wrongs that are done to other people, and this is what brought her into trial work in the International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and then to SOAS. Her passion for justice was inspiring and she never tired of making a good case to a captive audience. After SOAS she set off to Afghanistan where she changed many lives, working with the abused and forgotten victims of violence. Her passion for making this world better will always stay with us. Kamala died in a road accident in July 2008.
